2Face Launches Vote not Fight Campaign in Anambra State

2Face Idibia has on Thursday, September 14, inaugurated “Vote Not Fight, Election No Be War” campaign in a bid to promote peaceful governorship election in Anambra on November 18.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the campaign is a collaboration of the 2Face Idibia Foundation, Youngstars Development Initiative (YDI) and Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA).u
According to the reports, the collaboration also involved Centre for Ethics and Youth Development (CEYD), Gender Perspective and Social Development Centre (GPSDC) and Integrity Youth Development Initiative (IYDI).
While addressing newsmen at the ceremony in Awka, The music legend stressed the need for the general public to work together in order to prevent loss of lives before, during and after the election.
“Since 2015, I and the partner organisations on the Vote Not Fight campaign have worked tirelessly to increase youth participation in our country’s election.
“I call on youth of Anambra to ensure that they go out and vote for the candidates of their choice.
“The legitimacy of government is dependent on peaceful, free, fair and credible elections,” he said.
He added that even if Biafra was granted, they would still need peace for the elections to hold. 2Baba encouraged them to show maturity as well as vote responsibly.
“We have to monitor and engage our leaders. I encourage our youths to join political parties of their choice and grow to help make informed decisions,” he said.

Idibia went on to urge political parties and candidates to utilize the established legal avenues if they had concerns about the election.
He also urged traditional and religious rulers, elder statesmen as well as youth and women groups to join the campaign against violence during the election and play by the rules.
Mr. Kingsley Bangwell of Yougstars Foundation, earlier disclosed that some Anambra-based youth groups had been trained on non-violent election advocacy and voter education skills to ensure effective campaigns.
Bangwell went on to add that the youths also acquired training on advocacy skills to allow them to organise their communities for peaceful participation in the governorship election.

Beauty Queen and former Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Anna Ebiere Banner who has a baby girl with musician Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour in an exclusive interview with Punch Newspaper talks about her relationship with her baby daddy.

Although she got pregnant after Flavour’s critically acclaimed “Golibe” music video, Anna says the video had nothing to do with their relationship.

She discusses her experiences with being pregnant out of wedlock and her relationship with the father of her child.

On her finding out she was pregnant out of wedlock: I was demoralised. I was finished! I was frustrated! My parents were disgusted at my sight. It was my cross, so I had to carry it. I decided I was going to keep the baby even if I wasn’t married. It turned out to be the best decision I have made. I am not saying it is good to get pregnant at a young age and have a baby but whatever choices you make, you need to know there are consequences and you have to get ready to face the consequences. I was ready to face mine and I will not advise anybody to get pregnant at a young age. But if you get pregnant, abortion is not the next step

On if she planned the pregnancy: I couldn’t have purposely got pregnant because I wanted to hook a star. I was already a star too. I wasn’t looking for fame; I was even running away from fame. But I got pregnant for somebody I really loved. It wasn’t planned. It was my mistake but I wouldn’t call my child a mistake. I was careless. But I thank God it happened with a man who I loved and who didn’t turn his back on me.

On her current relationship with Flavour: When you love someone, it is hard to fall out. You cannot fall in love today and fall out of love tomorrow. Love is strong. Before you tell somebody you love him, you have to be sure. Flavour was the first man I fell in love with. I still love him as the beautiful soul he has and as the father of my child. I don’t know what the future holds but we are just taking things one step at a time.

On her future plans: I am going to have a foundation and I hope it turns out the way I want. It is about empowering young girls just like me not to give up. A lot of young girls got pregnant at a young age just like me and they gave up. I just want to encourage them that this is not the end of the world; you can do so many things. It is never late to go back to school. Age is just a number, your child will grow up to love and appreciate you. Even if it is not school, learn how to do something, empower yourself.

Drama started when MI went on Pulse TV to talk about the direction his career his taking, and he also chirped some words about how he is the rapper who likes to work with everybody.

That comment ticked off Vector, who apparently has been holding a grudge against the older artiste. "Firstly, you mailed me a beat sometime ago on some 'let's make this dope record happen' but yeah that was all it was," the upset Vector began. "You were also supposed to be on the #Kingkongremix but yeah we all must have gotten very busy."

He continued, "So let me make this clear... 16 bars is nothing, i'm not the type to involve in fake talks so... yeah... you said and i quote "i am the guy who wants to rap with everybody" ok then, LET'S RAP."

This pissed MI Abaga off, because the Chocolate City boss quickly called out the younger artiste, asking why he chose to say such on a public platform, and that didn't go down well with Vector.
