Its July 4th, a momentous day in the United States as the country celebrates its independence day. The day is also momentous for former first daughter of the United States (US), Malia Obama — it's her birthday! The daughter of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama is absolutely adored around the world. Here are some reasons why.
She is intelligent: Well, as the daughter of two Ivy League-educated parents, it's only natural for Malia to pluck their intelligent genes. She's going to Harvard University later this year.
She's independent: Most American students go straight to university after completing high school. However, Malia decided to take a gap year. This shows her independence.
